Taken (2008) Review

Film Analysis
Taken is an extremely well-known and well-loved English-language French action thriller film starring a retired CIA agent Brian Mills (played by Liam Neeson) who travels across Europe to try and find his teenage daughter Kim and her friend Amanda who have been kidnapped while on a trip to Paris by Albanian human traffickers for sexual slavery.

But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. The films storyline becomes more complicated and compelling as the story develops and definitely had me on edge. I enjoyed watching this movie with my family and friends and I would recommend this film to anyone looking for a good action movie to watch. This film is the first of three from the Taken Film Series so after watching this, you can also watch the other two as they flow nicely together.

Disney 'Pinnochio' (1940) Review

Pinocchio. The story of an older, lonely man who wishes that his hand-carved puppet would come to life. It’s a magical story that I found to be the best movie that we have covered thus far in our quest to watch and review every Disney Animated theatrical release. Pinocchio (1940) Disney (c) The Plot (without the spoilers) Pinocchio begins with a song, after which our narrator introduces himself as Jiminy Cricket and takes us back to the beginning. Our intrepid insect adventurer finds a warm fire in the shop of a woodcarver, full of puppets and beautiful clocks. The woodcarver, Geppetto is putting the finishing touches on a little puppet that he names Pinocchio. After seeing the wishing star, he utters that now famous rhyme and wishes that his little puppet could become a real boy. He is heard by the Blue Fairy and his wish comes true (well....almost). Disney 'Beauty and the Beast' (2017) Review

Disney's live-action  Beauty and the Beast  isn't bad. How could it be? It's basically a remake of one of the greatest animated movies of all time. It's when it tries to be different that it stumbles, and those problems drag down the good parts where it gets hard to overlook its flaws, making you wonder if you should just watch the animated version again. The film's music acts as a microcosm of this problem. In almost every song from the original movie, they have added an orchestral dance break. Those breaks keep the songs from reaching a natural climax and, for anyone who knows the original movie — it is extremely distracting. Yes, the musical numbers look great, but just as you're getting into them — bam, a sudden drop in energy for a completely unneeded dance number. This happens in the plot as well.
