Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) Review

"The future belongs to the mad"

Fury Road, an Australian dystopian action film is one of the more well-known instalments of the Mad Max Franchise. The film is set in a desert wasteland in a world where civilisation has completely crashed. Food, water and gasoline is scarce and people are getting desperate to survive, fighting for necessities… with many going mad along the way.

"My name is Max. My world is reduced to a single instinct: Survive. As the world fell it was hard to know who was more crazy. Me... Or everyone else."

This film has won multiple awards, ranked as the best film of 2015 by many critics, with some considering it to be the best action film ever to be made. I enjoyed the film and found it quite thrilling and entertaining as it was jam-packed with action, with amazing costumes, sounds and special effects which definitely amplified and continued the films electric feel throughout.
However I personally found that it had many plot holes and confusing or strange sections. Although it was by far one of the most thrilling and intense action films I've ever watched, it was quite strange at times to the point where I would laugh at the movies strange scenarios as opposed to taking the movie seriously and staying completely engaged with it. I found this to be its greatest flaw, but besides that, it was undeniably an amazingly produced film on all other levels and I would for sure recommend this to anyone in want of a thrilling action movie to watch.

RATING: 4/5
