Image
GRAVITY  Who doesn't loveeeee Sandra Bullock and George Clooneyy??!!! Beside the point that these people are one of the greatest actress and actor respectively of all timeeee collaborate to create an intense and suspenseful movie in the name of gravity. The main plot of this movie was a group of three scientist/astronauts were working on a particular space station until BAM! An unknown missle hit a space station not to far in the distance to only let the debris fly all the way to their working space station and force the triplet to separate.  However the lost of one astronaut meant the two left alive astronauts flying endlessly in space is set on a journey of their own to find a way back home to EARTH....  As the scene of the movie is obviously set in space, dont expect too much drama but lovely conversations between the characters portrayed by George Clooney and Sandra Bullock. If i had the chance to be stuck in space with them OH GOD HELP ME NOW... ...

Disney "The Lion King" (1994) Review

Image
The biggest roar at the summer box office may well come from Buena Vista's magnificent animated feature  The Lion King . Graced with heart, humour and boundless energy, this Walt Disney presentation should cut a huge swathe through all age groups. Young tots and adults alike well warm to its nourishingly wise storyline. Check the review here!  A certain blockbuster and a future classic,  The Lion King  is a scrumptiously delightful moviegoing experience. Lion King - snippet from the film (1994) From the stealthy array of talent selected to perform the voices, including such deep-tone stalwarts as James Earl Jones and Jeremy Irons, one almost expects a tragedy in the Shakespearean tradition. And, in certain aspects,  The Lion King  does fit this bill. Instead of the house of Hanover or Stuart, the drama centres on the reign of the mighty lion Mufasa (Jones), the king of a perfectly balanced African kingdom of animals who...

Disney 'Cinderella' (2015) Review

Image
Basically, warmth is slowly becoming the new cool.... Into this shifting atmosphere waltzes “Cinderella,” Disney’s dazzling live-action version of its 1950 animated classic. Other recent retellings of storybook favorites by the studio such as “ Alice in Wonderland ” and “ Maleficent ” reshaped the material for 21st century tastes, turning Lewis Carroll’s heroine into a pro-active warrior and upgrading the villainous fairy in “Sleeping Beauty” into a misunderstood victim. Even the recent “Into the Woods” featured a disillusioned Cinderella played by  Anna Kendrick . Cinderella (2015) Movie Poster                                But director  Kenneth Branagh , the Shakespearean actor who successfully launched the comic-book-inspired “ Thor ” franchise, eschews any such shadings in his story of the abused orphaned girl who wins the heart of a handsome prince. No dark themes or disturbing n...

Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) Review

Image
"The future belongs to the mad" Fury Road, an Australian dystopian action film is one of the more well-known instalments of the Mad Max Franchise. The film is set in a desert wasteland in a world where civilisation has completely crashed. Food, water and gasoline is scarce and people are getting desperate to survive, fighting for necessities… with many going mad along the way. "My name is Max. My world is reduced to a single instinct: Survive. As the world fell it was hard to know who was more crazy. Me... Or everyone else." This film has won multiple awards, ranked as the best film of 2015 by many critics, with some considering it to be the best action film ever to be made. I enjoyed the film and found it quite thrilling and entertaining as it was jam-packed with action, with amazing costumes, sounds and special effects which definitely amplified and continued the films electric feel throughout. However I personally found that it had many plot ...

Disney "The Little Mermaid" (1998) Review

Image
Walt Disney's "The Little Mermaid" is a jolly and inventive animated fantasy - a movie that's so creative and so much fun it deserves comparison with the best Disney work of the past. It's based on the Hans Christian Andersen tale about a mermaid who falls in love with a prince, but the Disney animators have added a gallery of new supporting characters, including an octopus named Ursula who is their most satisfying villainess since the witch in " Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs ." Watching "The Little Mermaid," I began to feel that the magic of animation had been restored to us. After the early years of Walt Disney's pathfinding feature-length cartoons, we entered into a long, dark age in which frame-by-frame animation was too expensive, and even the great Disney animation team began using shortcuts. Now computers have taken the busywork out of the high-priced hands of humans, who are free to realize even the most elaborate flights...
