Benchwarmers (2006) Review



Why this movie? 

To many people this may seem like some random movie that was made for young teenagers and in all fairness that is probably true cause its when i first watched and couldn't stop it watching it over and over it. It's easily one of my favourite movies not cause it got a good story line or thats its interesting its the fact that it is stupid which makes it hilarious and great fun to watch. So thats why i thought it would be a great movie to review. 


Story Line

The movie is set in a town in Agoura Hills, California, and is about the lives of 3 friends that have completely different personalities but all feel like they don't fit in with the society that they live in. 
The main characters are Gus, (Rob Schneider), Richie, (David Spade), and Clark (Jon Heder) all Characters and in there mid 30s and have different standards of life. 
  Gus is a genuine baseball talent who has been reduced to mowing people's lawns. Why? I think it's because he was an outcast who never got a shot at playing with the big boys. So when he witnesses a team of little leaguers behaving cruelly towards "nerds," he steps in and challenges the cruel jocks to a pick-up game: their whole team versus him and his two athletically impaired buddies, Clark and Richie.

Gus carries the team on his back smashing home runs and sending down crazy Pitches which demolish the little leaguers. His game gets the attention of one of the the 'nerds' fathers who happens to be a billionaire and share the pain of being left out of playing Americans great game. So he creates a Tournament for little league teams vs "Three Older Guys" he does this to give the guys a chance to get payback to the Jocks. Clark, Richie and Gus play against all the evil, stuck up teams in the country. They make it to the finals be realise that they are the ones acting like jocks and not letting others play so they let all the 'nerds' from there home town to play against the best team as they realise playing for fun is important than winning. 







I think that this movie is done really well and is directed towards the right people and has a great type of humour that people can laugh about at anytime. The evolution of each other the characters and the way that they progress and grow makes for a great story and also very easy for people to relate too. so i think that its a very good movie and i know a lot of different people who said they enjoyed it a would differently watch it again but overall Benchwarmers gives off a great vibe for everyone who watches it and is the perfect pick me up if your something funny to watch when needed.

Disney 'Beauty and the Beast' (2017) Review

Disney's live-action  Beauty and the Beast  isn't bad. How could it be? It's basically a remake of one of the greatest animated movies of all time. It's when it tries to be different that it stumbles, and those problems drag down the good parts where it gets hard to overlook its flaws, making you wonder if you should just watch the animated version again. The film's music acts as a microcosm of this problem. In almost every song from the original movie, they have added an orchestral dance break. Those breaks keep the songs from reaching a natural climax and, for anyone who knows the original movie — it is extremely distracting.
